In an online course we communicate via the computer. We require some knowledge of computer skills.

By the end of the pilot project, we will want to have the skills listed below.

Let's check off the ones that we can do now.
Let's add a check mark each time we learn a new skill.

Internet Usage Research skills

Right now, each person in your community classroom has some computer skills. Each person has different skills. If you need a skill right now, ask someone in your class. If that doesn't work:

  • ask your community computer technician
  • ask your teacher mentor
  • contact the K-Net technical staff (toll free at 877-737-KNET [5638]).

NOTE: If something in K-Net does not work for you, (example you aren't receiving a certain conference) the problem isn't always your skill level. Sometimes, the settings within the computer may not be right. If you and a helper try something twice and it doesn't work, phone or send a message to K-Net staff.
