Tracy Langille, the teacher, appreciates being able to have this additional learning resource available for her students.
The three students at the Pictou Island School work together to learn about using the Internet to send messages and look up information.
Everyone gathers around the new computer for a picture.

Overnight the ice came back into the bay forcing Kim and John to charter a plane to take them back to the main land.
The plane lands on the local road to pick up the passengers.

P.S. - Watch for the video production of this initiative undertaken by Industry Canada’s Schoolnet Program to ensure ALL schools are connected to the Information Highway. Congratulations and thanks to Pictou Island and the students for your efforts to get onto the Internet and for your hospitality!!
