This will help you learn how to be a Webmaster.  A webmaster is a person who develops and maintains a website.  A website is a location on the Internet that contains several web page documents.

We will be using Netscape Navigator Gold to build a website for your community.  Netscape Gold has a webpage editor that comes with the program.  This tutorial will show you how to use this editor program.

Also we will be using the book, "Creating Web Pages Simplified".  This book explains quite a bit about creating web pages.  It contains colourful pictures and not so complicated terms about the web.  Just reading this book with give you several months of web page design experience.  Throughout this tutorial we will refer to sections of the book to familiarize ourselves with the terms used.

There are several steps to building a successful website.  We will refer to the book as a guide line.  This is a brief summary of the steps:

For this tutorial to work you must have Netscape Navigator Gold.  Netscape Navigator Gold is a Web Browser.  A Web Browser is a program that can display pages found on the Internet.  Netscape is a company that produced the this Web Browser.  Navigator Gold is the name of the product.  Netscape Navigator Gold also has a Editor built into the program.  The Editor enables you to create or edit webpages and it is easy as using a Wordperfect letter.
