Next, click on Properties on the menu bar, then select Document.... A dialog box will appear. Click on the Appearance tab in the dialog box. From here, you can change the colors and background images of your page. To begin, click the Use custom colors bullet. You may select one of the preset color schemes by clicking on the Color schemes box. If you are not satisfied with any of the preset color schemes, you may create your own by changing each color manually. The sample pages presented in this tutorial use the 'Black on Off-White' color scheme. To change a color, click on one of the five buttons (Normal Text, Link Text, Active Link Text, Followed Link Text, or Background) and select the desired color. You may also define your own custom colors, if you so desire. Changing Backgrounds For the background of your page, you have two options. You can have an image act as wallpaper in the background, or you can have a solid color background. Unless you have an image handy, we will be using a solid color background for this tutorial. One thing to keep in mind when you are changing your background and text colors is to make sure the text is readable and "eye-pleasing." For example, yellow text on a white background is not very easy to read! When you have selected a color scheme that you are happy with, click the Apply button at the bottom of the dialog box, and then click OK.
