Netscape Navigator Gold
Web Page Editor Tutorial
[7) Creating Links]

So far you have added text, changed colors, added an image, and published a document on the World Wide Web. However, one of the main features of the web is it's ability to link to other documents. In this step you will add a link to the WPI homepage from your page.
  1. In the editor, click the mouse right after the last word in the paragraph you wrote about yourself.
  2. Verify that the cursor is placed right after the last word
  3. Press return
  4. Select Insert from the menu bar
  5. Select Link...
  6. Under Link source, type: Visit the K-Net Homepage
  7. Under Link to, type: http://www.knet.on.ca (in the first white box, the second, bigger white box should be empty)
  8. Click OK
Some underlined text that says Visit the K-Net Homepage should appear under the paragraph about yourself, but above the second horizontal line. Again, save the document and publish it. There is no need to include the image file this time, since it was included in our last publish (and it hasn't changed since then). Verify that your page looks like this one. Also verify that the link you just created takes you to this page.
